to help him bring his work to a successful conclusion in the
following year.

Conditions of the award:
The decision to make the award is taken by
a jury of 9 members during a special session for the presentation

the Research Day. The announcement of the winner's name and
the presentation of Grant take place during the meeting of
the General Assembly of the SFO on the Tuesday morning. The

10 000 euros during the next Conference after the presentation
of the results.
Composition and function of the jury:
The jury consists of 5 members of the Governing
Board and of 4 ophthalmologists chosen from amongst the members
of the SFO for their scientific abilities. The jury may co-opt

other nationalities, to facilitate the assessment of the research
projects.
In the case of two candidates being exactly equal and between
whom the jury are unable to decide, the Grant may be split
into two Grants of 7625 euros.
